Michael Harper

CEO

As CEO of Podcast Tune-Up, Michael Harper is the driving force behind our focus on new media as tools to create meaningful experiences. He has over 15 years’ of practical experience working, researching, and teaching in the Digital Media industry. Michael presently is an Associate Professor in the Digital Media Department at Utah Valley University and feels that being a geek is OK. He has recently authored “The Podgineer’s Guide to Professional Podcast Experiences” an exclusive guide for members to begin their transition from podcaster to podcast engineer. With both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Utah State University, he has to have some idea of where we’re headed.

William Furniss

Chief Operations Officer

Bill has 18 years of experience in managing operations and developing training materials for large-scale commercial and government organizations. As the COO, Bill makes every action at Podcast Tuneup a worthwhile and cost-effective move. Even the donut runs.

Managing Director

Mike is the Managing Director and resident audiophile of Podcast Tuneup. Mike has 15 years of international freelance experience recording music, doing voice overs, audio engineering, and consulting for audio and optics electronics. His business contacts include Boeing, United Airlines, BE Aerospace, and various government agencies. Not something you would expect from a guy who wears Hawaiian shirts and talks with hand puppets.

Necia Clark-Mantle

Managing Director

Necia has over 21 years of experience in employee administration for the airline industry, from frontline to senior leadership capacity. As an executive, she supervised all aspects of employee relations and corporate communication for a workforce of 10,000+. Using her initiatives to improve operational reliability, SkyWest was named the #1 on-time airline in 2003, 2004, and 2005. In 2006, she was recognized by Utah Business Magazine as one of the 30 women to watch. All that, and she throws a wicked curveball.

Communications Director

Chad has 5 years’ experience as a professional photographer and multimedia developer. With his work as a photojournalist appearing in newspapers across Utah, and his current status teaching in the Granite School District, he’s basically half-Peter Parker, half-Clark Kent, and half-Indiana Jones. As you can see, he always gives 150%.

Shane Armitage

Creative Director

Shane is the Creative Director at Podcast Tuneup. With 6 years of experience in motion, web, video, and photo design, his passion lies in attempting to infuse everything with aesthetic awesomeness while adhering to accessibility standards.

During the daylight hours, Shane is a Senior designer at Jandaco and has been fortunate enough to work with some amazing clients including Disney, NBC Universal, ABC Family, Club Penguin, Neopets, MGA, Warner Brothers, and many more.

When he isn't busy tinkering on the website, Shane loves researching new technologies and dreaming of ways to implement them to make life / work easier. Shane holds a bachelor's degree from Utah Valley University and a master's degree from the School of Hard Knocks.
